YOOL / About us

iis a Vienna-based editor working across fiction, hybrid documentary, essay film, television reportage, and music video. Coming from an artistic family, he has been active in editing since 2015 and has shaped 19 short films as well as countless other projects to date.

ter studying VFX at SAE Vienna, he continued his education at the Film Academy Vienna / mdw. He later co-established YOOL Films, where he serves as in-house editor and production assistant. The company’s first project was Liliya Timirzyanova’s CENTRO DI GRAVITÁ PERMANENTE developed at Laguna Film Lab and premiered at the Venice Film Festival in the Giornate degli Autori section.

Alongside his short-film and independent production credits, Jonathan has contributed extensively as additional editor to international documentary features including ETERNAL YOU by Beetz Brothers Production and NOGA by Babka Film Production.

His current work includes editing a feature documentary about Arik Brauer, scheduled for release in 2027, as well as Liliya Timirzyanova’s upcoming feature film Nur.
