YOOL originated in 2020 during the production of Tatar director Liliya Timirzyanova’s debut feature ANIMA wich was selected for multiple festivals including El Gouna Film Festival.

In 2025, YOOL Films was officially established together with editor and production assistant Jonathan Meiri, marking the beginning of an ongoing collaboration at YOOL Studio Vienna. Their first collaboration, Centro di Gravità Permanente, premiered at the Venice Film Festival (Venice Days).

Currently, YOOL Films is developing its next feature while finalizing several short films and documentaries shot in Russia, Cyprus and Greece slated for release in the upcoming years.
